Christmas could be an extra special one if you were to win the cool £5,000 jackpot in our Christmas raffle.
When you buy a £1 ticket you support the incredible work we do in caring for thousands of people living with incurable illness.
So, if you fancy scooping the jackpot, or one of the other 42 cash prizes on offer, you can buy your tickets using the button below.
This year, we mark 35 years since opening our first ward and the care and support we have been privileged to give since would not have been possible without our incredible supporters – supporters like Aly who is walking 3,000 miles in aid of us this year including scaling Snowdon multiple times and climbing Kilimanjaro.
Her fundraising means so much to us – and it helps to give our nurses time to care, time for our patients to make precious memories with their families, loved ones and carers and time to ensure that everyone we look after is treated with dignity and respect.
Our nursing team cared for Aly’s partner Gary Richards – who you may remember for rowing the Atlantic with the Wrekin Rowers back in 2021. The team of four raised more than £105,000 for us and the RNIB – but within a year Gary was in our care after being diagnosed with a rare cancer. He sadly died in January 2023 but Aly vowed to carry on with his fundraising.
Karen Swindells, Head of Individual Giving, said: “We are overwhelmed by the support we receive. It makes such a difference to us.
“Last year changes to our services, made for the benefit of patients and families, had the effect of saving £500,000. Despite that, we still faced an increase in costs of £1.4 million. This year, the increase is £1.1 million.
“We’ve been there for the community for 35 years and that’s only been possible because of their support for us. We are grateful for every pound we receive, especially as we know how hard it is for everyone right now, all we are saying is thank you for your support; please don’t forget us, all of your support makes a difference.”
Buy your tickets online for our Christmas raffle, they are £1 each. The closing date is 6 December 2024 and don’t forget you can also buy them in our shops and in the receptions at our hospices in Telford and Shrewsbury.

Every penny of your support helps Severn Hospice, with 67p from your lottery or raffle £1 going directly to patient care. We use 12p for prizes and the other 21p for promotion and administration so we can continue to help families who need our help (based on financial accounts for year ended 31 03.2024).
The likelihood of winning a prize based on our Christmas raffle draw 15.12.2023 is a 1 in 2,382 chance, the patients we care for win with every £1 ticket bought.
