Scores of shoppers turned out for the grand opening of our newly refurbished shop on Market Street in Craven Arms.

The shop, which first opened in October 1992, was one of the first Shropshire and Mid Wales Hospice shops to open and has contributed tens of thousands of pounds towards the vital services our caring team provides.

Barbara-Ann Tweedie, Severn Hospice Trustee, officially cut the ribbon and paid tribute to our Craven Arms team for all their hard work and dedication over the years.

Lynn Preece, Retail Area Manager at Severn Hospice, said: “Tracy and the team at our Craven Arms shop have been working really hard to get everything ready ahead of the grand opening, the shop looks fantastic. The old shop was in need of a little TLC as it was looking a little tired in places but it now looks like a completely new shop. We have created a light bright shopping environment for our supporters.

“The people of Craven Arms have supported our hospice for many years and we hope their support will continue long into the future.”
