Gifts in wills are tremendously important to us, effectively paying for the treatment of one in five of our patients.
We want to make our supporters more aware of how thinking of us in their wills can make a real difference to the families we care for. We are doing that in a number of ways, including working with local solicitors to offer a special wills writing service which you may recall from last year and which they have kindly extended.
Most recently we worked with Shropshire Magazine to publish the fascinating life story of Sheila Baird, featured in their April edition; someone who was extremely generous towards us and who gifted Severn Hospice £136,490. Miss Baird’s family members have supported us in writing the article and are very pleased to share her story to hopefully encourage others to think of Severn Hospice.
