We have launched a new way for supporters to pay a lasting tribute to their loved ones with our Forget Me Not Appeal.
As part of the appeal people can buy a custom made, beautifully handcrafted forget me not flower, in memory of friends and family.
The striking flowers, each measuring 17cm in diameter and 43cm in length, have been made by the Oswestry-based British Ironwork Centre.
1,000 of the forget me nots will be on display at Shrewsbury Castle from 12th to 18th April and at Attingham Park from 25th April to 3rd May.
Clare Heath, nurse at Severn Hospice, said: “Memories are part of what makes life special and we hope our Forget Me Not Appeal will help our supporters remember and celebrate the lives of someone special to them.
“Each individual flower has been handmade by the talented team at the British Ironwork Centre and will provide a lasting tribute to those who are no longer with us. As the flowers are made from steel they are suitable for use outside and would look beautiful in any garden or outdoor space.
“Anyone is welcome to purchase a flower; you don’t have to have experienced the care of the hospice.
“The money raised from each flower purchased will enable our teams to be there when it matters most for the next person who needs our help.”
Our Severn Hospice forget me not flowers, priced £25 each, are available to purchase via our website, please click here for more information. Flowers will be available from early May and can be collected from either hospice in Shrewsbury or Telford, alternatively they can be sent directly to you for an additional cost of £5.95 per flower.
