Severn Hospice is urging supporters to spring into action and sign up for our annual Severn Stride.
The popular 17 mile hospice to hospice walk is set to return on Saturday 23rd April.
Starting at our site in Apley Castle in Telford, the route will follow pavements and established footpaths through the beautiful Shropshire countryside before finishing at our Shrewsbury hospice in Bicton Heath.
Elodie Home, Fundraising Events Manager at Severn Hospice, said: “We are delighted our Severn Stride is back for another year. The cross-country route is relatively flat and goes through some truly beautiful Shropshire countryside.
“This year we will be starting at our hospice in Telford and finishing at our hospice in Shrewsbury. People will be able to leave their cars at the finishing point and catch the shuttle bus service we will be providing to the starting point.
“Co-Op Funeral Care in Shrewsbury is very generously providing refreshments to everyone taking part, so half way round the course there will be a well-deserved refreshment stop, manned by volunteers from Co-Op.”
Registration for our Severn Stride is £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for children. Anyone under the age 16 must be accompanied by an adult whilst out on the route.
