Our first ever furniture store has officially opened on Ennerdale Road in Shrewsbury, where our supporters gathered to show their support.
The store was officially opened by Shrewsbury Mayor, Ioan Jones, and our local hospice Matron Becky Richardson. The doors opened at 10am on Friday 26th August, with supporters turning out in large numbers to enjoy the new store on its first day.
A crowd gathered to see the Mayor cut the ribbon before entering the shop to get a first look at the high quality furniture on offer. A selection of hard wood furniture, dining room sets; living room suites and high quality electrical goods were available.
Furniture Store Manager, Andrew Perkins said “It’s a privilege to officially open the first Severn Hospice furniture store. I’m thrilled that so many people have turned out to support us on our first day and I think this is a really exciting development for the hospice.
“We would like to encourage all of our supporters to come along and visit the store to see the wonderful selection of donated furniture we have on offer.”
Matron Becky Richardson said “We couldn’t do the work that we do without the support of shops like this one. The shop looks wonderful and the quality of the furniture is fantastic. By shopping at our new furniture store our supporters can enjoy these beautiful donations whilst ensuring we can keep caring for the families that need us.”
We look forward to welcoming all of our supporters to our new shop and are excited about this new venture for our hospice!
The shop is open seven days a week with opening times available here.
