Join us on Friday 26th August at 10am to celebrate the grand opening of our first Severn Hospice furniture store.
Shrewsbury Mayor, Ioan Jones, and Severn Hospice Matron for Community Services, Becky Richardson, will cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony when eager shoppers looking for a bargain buy can enter the shop for the first time.
The Furniture Store is located on Ennerdale Road in Shrewsbury and stocks a fantastic range of pre-loved furniture and homewares, including a selection of sofa suites, dining room sets and a good as new flat screen 60inch television. Furniture Store Manager Andy Perkins said: “We’re really excited to open the doors and welcome the public to our first ever furniture store. We’re looking forward to meeting our new customers and welcoming supporters through our doors. The response has already been incredible with beautiful furniture being donated every day.”
Severn Hospice Retail Area Manager, Lynn Preece, said: “Our shops are absolutely vital in supporting the fantastic work the hospice does. We’ve had a great response from the public and our new staff are working very hard to get the shop ready for opening day. We have a wonderful team of people and we would welcome the support of more volunteers; if anyone can spare a few hours a week to join our team we’d love to hear from them.”
We are looking forward to seeing our supporters at the opening ceremony and are excited to begin this new venture.
