Every year we welcome a few feathery friends to our gardens at our hospice in Bicton, Shrewsbury. This year our family of ducks is once again with us and we have done something rather special to make them feel at home. After we found that we needed to fill in the fountain that was once part of our Legacy Sculpture, our ducks were left with nowhere to wet their beaks. We therefore decided to provide a private swimming pool, complete with access plank for smaller ducklings. Patients, relatives and staff love to catch a glimpse of this little family playing in the pool or waddling together, all little ducks in a row.

We hope they will continue to bring joy to all those who visit us.
