As part of Volunteers’ Week we would once again like to thank all of our dedicated volunteers. We asked Sam Capstick, who began volunteering at our Shifnal shop just over a year ago, what makes volunteering with Severn Hospice special for him.

I’ve been volunteering with Severn Hospice for just over a year now. I’m doing a course with the Open University and I wanted some retail experience. I chose Severn Hospice because my Mum had been there, so I had personal experience with them. I enjoy the variety of the role, I organise the toys, games and antiques. Most of all I enjoy sorting out the records, it’s my area of expertise and on one day we sold £100 worth of records because I recognised their value.
