A ceramic star-shaped keepsake is hanging from a Christmas tree.

Severn Hospice has created a special Christmas keepsake for families remembering loved ones.

Marking our 35th anniversary this year, Severn Hospice commissioned the ceramic stars for people to place on their Christmas trees in memory of those they miss.

Meaningful

Becky Richardson, our director of care, said: “Christmas is such a poignant time for people, especially if they have lost a loved one, and we know how important remembrance is for them.

“We are marking 35 years of supporting the community with our specialist care and wanted something special and meaningful for Christmas that families can cherish.”

The ceramic stars can be ordered directly from our website, with each one sold supporting our care. Orders placed by Sunday, 8 December, are guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas.

The stars will also be available at our Lights of Love remembrance service in Bicton Heath, on Sunday, 1 December, and at our Christmas fayres on 23-24 November in Apley Castle and 14-15 December in Bicton Heath.

Support

Becky added: “Anyone might find the keepsake comforting as a gentle focus for remembrance, not just those who’ve experienced the care of the hospice.

“It’s thanks to the continued support from our community that we have been able to provide our caring services for 35 years – and each star sold helps us to be there for more families.”
