Midnight Walk – Telford
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Midnight Walk in Telford on Saturday 26 May. We were thrilled with the turnout and the weather could not have been kinder. The event raised over £32,000 for our Hospice and a brilliant night was had by all.
As always, the event could not take place without the hundred volunteers who gave up their Saturday night to make the Midnight Walk another success. Thank you to all of the marshals who took care of the ladies out on the route, to the volunteers who signed walkers in and welcomed them back. To our Zumba instructors who got everyone warmed up and ready to go. To Raynet who ensured we were aware of any developments out on the route and to of course TCAT for making us so welcome.

Midnight Walk – Shrewsbury
Another successful Midnight Walk! Almost 600 ladies turned out to take part in the event on Saturday 30 June and we were thrilled to have you join in the fun. Everything ran smoothly on the night, with the rain holding off and the walkers finishing at a record time of 2.20am, surely a personal best for everyone who took part!
Once we have recieved all the sponsorship, we hope to have raised close to £50,000! Thank you to each and every one of your for raising so much for our Hospice and our patients. A big thank you goes to Shrewsbury Sports Village for hosting the event, to Raynet for their hard work throughout the early hours. To The Beaten Track Pub for being our checkpoint for the walkers when they needed a piece of cake! To Shropshire Council for providing minibuses to get our marshals safe and sound onto the route. Also a huge thank you to over one hundred volunteers, whom without the event just would not happen.
If you have finished collecting your sponsorship from friends and family just pop it in the post to us at Severn Hospice, Appeals Department, Bicton Heath, Shrewsbury, SY3 8HS. Cheques made payable to Severn Hospice. If you would like to drop your sponsorship in at our Hospices in Telford or Shrewsbury you can do so between 8.45am – 5pm Monday – Thursday and 9am – 4pm on Fridays.
