This section concerns our short courses and formal education programme. If you are interested in gaining experience of palliative care or working at Severn Hospice as part of a training rotation, please visit our work experience page.
Education is a central part of our work. We have close links with healthcare professionals and volunteer agencies within Shropshire, Telford and Montgomeryshire. Our purpose-built facilities at our Shrewsbury and Telford Hospices suit groups from 10 to 50, depending on the layout required. We can also offer excellent in-house catering.
We have a programme of planned events and study days and we can design courses to suit the particular needs of your organisation. We can deliver tailored training at our Hospices in Shrewsbury and Telford or at an alternative venue to suit you.
Our staff have presented work at conferences around the world including Sweden, Canada, Uruguay, India, Russia, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. You can find out more about our staff’s research and publications here.
We offer structured placements to visiting medical and nursing staff from all over the world, including from our local area.
