About the walks
The Severn Hospice Midnight Walks are women-only events which follow 10km circular routes along well-lit pavements.
We have developed a brand new route for the Telford event, which will start and finish at Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) in Wellington. The route goes through Wellington, Admaston, Shawbirch and Apley before returning to TCAT.
The Shrewsbury event is again based at Shrewsbury Town Football Club and the route heads up to Copthorne Barracks then into Shrewsbury Town, returning to Oteley Road via Pritchard Road and Hazledine Way.
Walkers will set off on the stroke of Midnight following a warm up session and a countdown. There will be the opportunity to stop for a comfort break and refreshments along the way.
Marshals will line the routes to help to keep walkers safe and to arrange transport in case of problems.
Taking part in events like the Midnight Walk is not only a way to have fun, it is also a way of making a real difference to the lives of local people when they need it most.
