Midnight Walk – Telford
A big thank you to everyone who joined us on 5 June for the Midnight Walk in Telford!
Over 500 ladies turned out at TCAT in Telford in their fancy dress finery to walk 10km to support our Hospice. We cannot thank them enough for making it a night to remember. Our friends at Yarrington once again gave up their Saturday night to capture the build up to midnight and you can see their film here.
The wonderful Raynet team once again supported the walkers and kept them safe throughout the night.
We would also like to thank all of the volunteers who helped hand out water, sign in walkers and marshal the streets to ensure that everyone had a tremendous night. We could not have done it without each and every one of you. A big thank you also goes to TCAT for hosting the event and making us so welcome through the early hours of the morning.
Wyle Cop Flowers made our ‘thank you’ to the walkers look really special, while our thanks also go to SP Holding for lending us the extra tabards we needed to make sure all of our marshals were visible in the dark.
As the excitement dies down, don’t forget to collect your sponsorship in and send it to Midnight Walk, Severn Hospice, Appeals Department, Bicton Heath, Shrewsbury SY3 8HS. The sooner we receive your sponsorship the sooner it will go to providing round the clock care to our patients and their loved ones.
We had to disappoint some ladies this year as the places filled up at record speed for the Telford Walk. In order to avoid this, we are thrilled to announce that registration for the Midnight Walk – Telford 2011 is now open. Next years Midnight Walk will take place on Saturday 4 June following a 10km route.
