Dragon Boat Festival
We are delighted to announce the return of the ever-popular Dragon Boat Festival. As always it will be taking place on the last weekend in June so join us on Sunday 27 June for a day of excitement, fancy dress and (hopefully) sunshine.
The event takes place at the Pengwern Boat Club in Shrewsbury. Teams of up to 20 people can take part, racing against each other in 40 foot long Dragon Boats. One member of each team is the drummer and sets the pace.
All equipment and training is provided on the day and no experience is needed. Tactics can be just as important as strength and by working as a team you could paddle your way to victory. Each crew is guaranteed at least three races and the winners receive medals and a trophy to keep.
This is one of the most popular events in our calendar and is always over-subscribed. Do not leave it too late to register – get in touch with us today to make sure your place is safe. Due to the popularity of the event places cannot be reserved and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis as completed registration forms and deposits are received.
