Attingham Classic Vehicle Rally 2012

Our popular Attingham Classic Vehicle Rally returns for a third year on Sunday 12 August.

This tremendous day out for classic and vintage vehicle owners and enthusiasts alike is held in the grounds of Attingham Park in Atcham, near Shrewsbury.

On the day participants will gather at one of three start points (Shrewsbury, Telford and Newtown) before setting off on a drive through beautiful countryside. They will arrive in convoy at Attingham Park late morning. The vehicles will be displayed on the lawns throughout the afternoon, grouped by model, with those from specialist clubs parked together.

Those who do not wish to take part in the drive, or who have particularly slow moving vehicles, will be able to join the group at Attingham Park. To select this option please choose ‘None’ as your start point on the registration form.

During the afternoon the public will have the opportunity to admire the various vehicles on display and we hope owners will enjoy the opportunity to discuss their prized models with fellow enthusiasts.

The tea rooms at Attingham Park will be open during the event but you are also welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy on the lawns.

It will be possible to sign up on the day for an increased payment of £15. Any drivers wishing to take this option should arrive at Attingham Park at 11.30am to avoid beyond delayed by the arrival of the convoys.

There is no charge for spectators to view the exhibits on the day, although normal entry fees to Attingham Park will apply for those who are not National Trust members. We anticipate that the majority of vehicles will be on display by 12.30pm, and most will stay until at least 4pm.

Please consider helping us to promote this event by downloading a poster and putting it up at work or in your local shop, pub or gym.

We would like to thank the National Trust for their ongoing support of this event, and for waiving the entrance fee to the grounds of Attingham Park for participants.
