Management of Severn Hospice
Our Board of Trustees is responsible for the strategic management of Severn Hospice and for ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest possible standards of care. Our Trustees are volunteers with a wide range of skills and backgrounds. They bring expertise from companies, from other charities and from the public sector.
Day to day management of the Hospice is undertaken by a team consisting of:
Paul Cronin – Chief Executive
Norma Ross – Appeals Director
Jeremy Johnson – Medical Director
Heather Palin – Nursing Director / Hospice Manager
The Senior Management Team is accountable to the Board of Trustees.
Severn Hospice has an annual turnover of several millions of pounds, two thirds of which is raised by the general public. Our Trustees ensure that this money is spent efficiently and effectively. They consider the future for local people and manage the organisation and its finances to ensure that Hospice care will continue to be available, for free, to those who need it in Shropshire, Telford and Montgomeryshire.
The Trustees publish an Annual Report and set of accounts which are available to download here. If you have any questions about these documents, or suggestions for ways in which the Trustees can improve the way they explain their work, please email the Chairman at chairman@severnhospice.org.uk.
The Trustees are charged with looking after the future of the Hospice on behalf of local people. They often appear at public meetings or meetings of local groups to talk about the work of the Hospice and the role of the Trustees. If you would like a Trustee or a member of staff to come to a meeting of your organisation and tell you more about what we do, please email appeals@severnhospice.org.uk
