Welshpool Town FC at the beginning of 10/11 season

Welshpool Town FC has been associated with the Hospice for a number of years and we are proud that, thanks to an anonymous benefactor, our logo is displayed on their kit.

Last weekend the club received a tremendous boost as TV pundit and former professional footballer Chris Kamara turned up to play for the side.

Lucy Proctor, Severn Hospice community fundraising manager, said: “It was fantastic to see Welshpool Town receive such a boost thanks to the appearance of Chris Kamara at the weekend, and it was great to see the Sky Sports star wearing a shirt with our logo on it.

“As a charity, we would never pay to advertise on a football shirt but thanks to the kind gesture of an anonymous supporter, our logo has appeared on the club’s shirt for the past two seasons.

“The generous Welshpool Town fan, who wishes to remain anonymous, paid for our logo to appear on the team’s kit to help raise awareness of the work we do supporting patients from the Welshpool and Mid Wales area.”
