Helen, one of our chefs, talks about Christmas at Severn Hospice

Posted on Nov 21, 2011

‘The Hospice at Christmas has a lovely atmosphere; I have done ten Christmases now. Everyone is hands on to the get the patients feeling better so they can go home and be with their loved ones. For those who stay with us, any relatives who want to come are welcome and we offer mince pies and mulled wine in the morning followed by a traditional lunch with three courses and then a buffet in the evening. Everything is homemade. I love my job; I have always worked caring for those who are unwell and trying to make a difference to them.’
