Shrewsbury Town players ask you to give it some welly for Severn Hospice

Shrewsbury Town players have swapped their football boots for black and white cow print wellies this week as they encourage the people of Shropshire to give it some welly for Severn Hospice.

Shane Cansdell-Sheriff and Chris Neal have taken time out of their busy schedule to help promote the local charity’s latest fundraising event. Severn Hospice has teamed up with Robert Wiseman Dairies in Market Drayton to organise Shropshire’s first Wiseman Welly Walk on Sunday 16 October at Hawkstone Park.

The event offers a choice of two routes; either a 1.5km ramble suitable for all the family or a 6.8km adventure walk which explores the highlights that The Follies has to offer. In addition to the registration fee participants will be able to get their hands on their very own pair of black and white cow print wellies for just £5.

Sarah Hawthorne, fundraising events organiser for Severn Hospice, said: ‘We’re delighted to be working with the team at Robert Wiseman Dairies to organise such a fantastic event. The Welly Walk is set to be a fun day out for the whole family and a great way to support your local Hospice.’

Registration for the walk costs £10 for adults and £5 for children. If you would like your very own pair of cow print wellies then just add £5 to your registration fee.

Hawkstone Park has kindly waived the usual entrance fee for all those who take part in the walk so 100% of the registration donation comes to the Hospice. After the walk you will be free to explore all Hawkstone has to offer.

A remarkable one-in-two people across Britain have had a family member or friend benefit from hospice care. At Severn Hospice we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of care to the thousands of people who need our help each year.
