Craven Arms mother signs up to walk a mile at midnight!

Posted on Sep 2, 2011

A mum from Craven Arms is one of the first to sign up for Severn Hospice’s Moonlit Mile taking place on Saturday 1 October in Ludlow. Tracy Williams registered for the event after seeing a poster displayed in the town.

The one mile circuit around the town is suitable for the whole family and will start and finish at the Assembly Rooms. The route will be along wide, well lit pavements and offers the perfect opportunity to rediscover the town in the midnight hour.

Tracy said: ‘I decided to sign up to the Moonlit Mile to raise as much as possible for Severn Hospice. My Mum was cared for by the Hospice. Sadly she lost her battle four years ago but I will never forget the care she received; she was treated as a person not a medical case.

‘I’m really looking forward to taking part in the walk. Events like the Moonlit Mile are a great opportunity to raise funds for our local Hospice whilst having a fun night out. Every penny raised will benefit patients and loved ones alike.’
