New Bangers and Cash scheme to raise funds

Do you have an old banger gathering dust in your garage? Then you could do your bit for charity thanks to a free-to-use scheme that will dispose of your car while raising funds for Severn Hospice.
We are proud to be teaming up with social enterprise Giveacar to launch this new fundraising initiative in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Mid Wales. The Givecar scheme is a win-win idea which allows drivers to dispose of their old car in an environmentally friendly and convenient way while also raising crucial funds for local Hospice care.
Regardless of their condition, cars are collected free of charge by Giveacar, who sell them through online auction or take them to an authorised treatment facilitity. Proceeds from the sale of cars are donated to the Hospice, and even if the vehicle is scrapped the Hospice receives between £40 and £160.
While Ford Fiestas are the most commonly donated car, the team at Giveacar are also used to dealing with more unusual requests, from jetskis to mobility scooters! They can accept motorcycles, vans and even lorries so whatever your vehicle it can be converted to cash for Severn Hospice at no cost to yourself.
The award winning scheme, which has already raised thousands of pounds for charities across the UK, could not be easier to take part in. If you have a car you wish to dispose of simply contact Giveacar on 0200 011 1664 or via their website http://www.giveacar.co.uk/ and mention Severn Hospice. Giveacar will arrange to collect your car at your convenience, normally within three days. Your car does not event need a valid tax disc or MOT because it will be collected by tow truck, although such certification will increase the amount that can be raised.
Giveacar will deduct 25% of the sale price to cover all of their costs and the remainder, less VAT, will be donated to Severn Hospice. We will then be able to contact you to confirm how much your car has raised and how the Hospice has benefitted as a result.
