When a spectacular collection of colourful plants didn’t flower in time for the horticultural show for which they were intended, Jeremy Hawkey of GardenAbiliteaze immediately thought of Severn Hospice as a benefactor of his misfortune.
400 professionally planted, treated and prepared patio pots are now available for purchase from Jeremy at £12.50 each and can be paid for and collected from either the Shrewsbury or Telford Severn Hospice sites with Severn Hospice gaining £5 for every pot sold. Alternatively delivery can be arranged within the Shrewsbury and Telford areas.
The pots measure approximately 9 inches high by 12 inches across the top. They have been professionally grown in greenhouses and they include a mixture of the following bedding plants: fuschias, geraniums, surfina, lobelia, bacopa, ivy, osteospermum, verbena and impatiens (busy lizzie). They also have fertiliser and white fly protection included so really all they need is daily watering. They are ready for display and will continue to bloom and grow into maturity over the next couple of weeks. They should carry on flowering and giving colour to patios and gardens until the first frosts of autumn arrive. Dead heading will encourage new flowers to come through and this simply means pinching out any flowers which have passed their best.
