Ramblings with Severn Hospice

Earlier this year the team from the Ramblings programme on BBCÂ Radio 4 visited our Shrewsbury Hospice to record an episode. Starting at the Hospice they went for a walk across the fields to the river, accompanied by our wonderful Strollers group. The piece will air tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 6.05am and will be repeated on Thursday 11 March at 3pm.
The episode was the Observer’s pick of the day for tomorrow. The review said ‘In this programme Clare Balding meets the Severn Hospice Strollers, a walking group in which most members have lost a partner. In the gentle Shropshire countryside they find it easy to open up about ‘going a bit doolally’ following bereavement, but there is also plenty of humour as mature members are pulled over stiles.’
