BBC Radio 4 comes to our Shrewsbury Hospice!

Last week our Strollers group played host to BBC Radio 4 when their Ramblings team joined one of our regular walks.
About 20 Strollers took advantage of excellent walking weather to walk by the River Severn and the Isle. Everyone enjoyed the experience and we all appreciated how genuine and friendly the presenter Clare Balding and her producer Lucy Lunt were in gathering the material they needed at the same time as joining in the whole event.
Signed photos were given, cake was enthusiastically received, the kitchen team’s tomato soup went down a storm, and our Chaplain’s alpaca knitwear reached a new market…that of an outside broadcaster in need of the best fingerless mitts.
The broadcast will be on BBC Radio 4 on Saturday 6 March at 6.07am (!!) and then repeated on Thursday 11 March at the more human time of 3pm.
