Last few days to enter 100km cycle challenge
Posted on Aug 24, 2009
The 2009 Great Big Bike Ride is fast approaching! On Saturday 5 September cyclists from across the county will be getting together to ride through beautiful Shropshire countryside while raising funds for Severn Hospice. All routes are circular, starting and finishing at Blists Hill Victorian Town in Madeley.
The longest route available on the day is the mighty 100km. A road route, this takes cyclists to the Hospice in Apley Castle then around the countryside of north east Shropshire. This route has proved extremely popular this year and anyone who is still hoping to register must return their form to the Appeals office by Friday 28 August.
Registration for the six mile, 12 mile and 26 mile routes will remain open until 10am on Friday 4 September. Registrations for these shorter routes may be accepted on the day but this cannot be guaranteed and we strongly recommend that you sign up in advance to be sure of your place.
