Hospice visit for local charity walkers
Posted on Aug 3, 2009
Long term fundraiser Rajinder Sahota and 15 friends visited Severn Hospice
on Saturday 1 August at the end of a sponsored walk. The group had set off from Hadley Park Stores, Rajinder’s shop, to help to raise the profile of the Hospice in the area while also raising essential funds.
The group covered a wide range of ages, from young children to a 76 year old lady. On arrival at the Hospice they were given a tour by Pat Hayward of the Appeals team and enjoyed biscuits baked by the Hospice chefs.
Despite supporting the Hospice for many years, few of the walkers had visited before and they were delighted to see it for themselves. We would like to thank them all for giving up their Saturday morning to visit us and for their fundraising efforts.
