Thank you so much to all of you who voted for us in the Sainsbury’s stores in Shrewsbury and Telford. Sainsbury’s asked its customers to vote on which charity to adopt to help to celebrate their 140th birthday. We were thrilled when they told us that we are the official charities for both stores. To win we had to have the backing of staff and customers and everybody at Severn Hospice really appreciates this support.
Sainsbury’s staff will be working with us over the coming year by organising fundraising events, taking part in our events and helping in practical ways around our Hospices. Sainsbury’s already kindly donate unsold cut flowers which we use to brighten up the patients rooms and our Day Hospices in both Shrewsbury and Telford.
The aim of both stores is to work in close partnership with the Hospice and we are really looking forward to getting to know the teams.
